UP Sigma Alpha Sorority

sigma6.jpg

UP Sigma Alpha Sorority is a duly recognized organization of the University of the Philippines. Founded in October 24, 1964 by nineteen brilliant women students of UP Diliman, the Sorority was formed as a protest against all Greek-lettered student organizations that observe the traditional rites of physical initiation. Sigma Alphans believe that loyalty to an organization need not to be measured by the debasement of the individual, and it is indeed possible to experience the fullness and warmth of friendship and sisterhood without physical initiation.

Pagmamahal sa pusong nagdurusa

Iwasan ang pag-alinlangan

Lahat ng araw kita'y mamahalin.

Sa labi ng imbing kamatayan

Itangi yaring pagmamahal

Tulutang magtapat sa 'yo hirang

Lahat ng araw kita'y mamahalin.
